Con el fin de conocer las necesidades de las comunidades locales el Avellano y Ranchillo Alto, el Seremi de Bienes Nacionales, Cristián Ortiz, junto al Seremi de Medio Ambiente, Mario Rivas y representantes de Conaf se reunieron en el Fundo Escuela Ranchillo Alto UdeC. El encargado de moderar la actividad fue el profesor Dr. Juan Pedro Elissetche, académico de Ciencias Forestales UdeC.
